The bare naked truth is that everyone wants to dominate search listings right now.
I just heard that internet marketing and advertising SPENDING is going to finally topple t.v. advertising in the year 2009. Not that surprising to some of us internet junkies, but that sure sounds promising for my career goals.
One noticeable change that stands right out at me is the rate at which the field of search engine marketing is progressing. What took me the last 8 years of learning through trial and error, to finally learn to control, then takes me a whole month to implement in regards to ONE customer, now takes about 2 weeks, and I don't even lift a finger except to accept a check and sign my Hancock.
